Weehawken 1800 had its groundbreaking ceremony on August 12 2019. This is a project I have been working on as the owner’s VP of design and project manager for the past year and half. With unobstructed view of Manhattan skyline and the Hudson River, a unique design language, and desirable location (5-min ferry ride to Hudson Yard), this nearly-300 unit high-end condominium will be a piece of gem along the Gold Coast.
75 Park Lane is pouring the 23rd floor, four levels above the sky lounge!
Shore House, the 7-story condo building in Jersey City, topped out on November 21st 2017, marking the first major mile stone in the construction of Park and Shore.
Darren gave two lectures at MIT's System Engineering Division and the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics. The first lecture, entitled "architecture vs Architecture - design of large scale buildings as CLIOS", focuses on the redesign of the tower top of Ping An Financial Center and Xuhui Waterfront CBD from a system engineering perspective. The second lecture, entitled "aerodynamic Performance Driven Form-Generation for Skyscraper Design", focuses on performance driven form generation and design.
Darren’s paper Aerodynamic Performance Driven Form-Generation for Skyscraper Design was presented at Computer-Aided Architectural Design Futures (CAAD Futures) 2013 and published in the conference proceedings (Pages 315-326).
Darren gave a lecture entitled "Shanghai Wind Tower - Aerodynamic Performance-Driven Skyscraper Design" at MIT, jointly sponsored by the MIT Department of Aeronautics & Astronautics, Department of Architecture, and Engineering Systems Division.
Darren’s Presentation of Practice Work “Form Follows Performance – Aerodynamic Performance Driven Design for Supertalls” has been accepted by the 18th International Conference of the Association of Computer-Aided Architectural Design Research in Asia (CAADRIA 2013), which will take place in Singapore 15-18 of May 2013.
